The Iron Yard finalized a full schedule of free classes for this fall! Please see below for the list of dates, including when registration for each class will open. This term, we will be using Meetup.com for registration, so please go ahead and create an account there if you don’t have one already so you’ll be able to register when registration goes live. Mark your calendars and keep an eye on your inbox for the links to sign up when the time comes! Each class will be capped at 15 students and will meet once a week for one hour per session at our campus in the M. Rich Center in downtown Atlanta.
Fundamentals of Programming, ages 8-12
This class uses a programming tool called Scratch that is ideal for helping children to learn the basics of coding.
- Wednesdays, October 7th – 28th
Registration opens Wednesday, September 30th.
This class builds on the foundation from the Fundamentals of Programming class and allows students to build a game over the course of four weeks. Please sign up for this class only if your child has taken Fundamentals of Programming.
